The "special military operation" in Ukraine aims to save Russia from the aggressive West, but also to liberate the Palestinian people, says Vladimir Putin.
Propaganda: Russian citizens are fighting on the territory of Ukraine not only for the future of their state, but also for the independence of Palestine
NEWS: Putin believes that the US and the Western elites are to blame for the war in Ukraine and the Middle East: "American elites and their satellites are the main beneficiaries of world instability".

“We can help Palestine by fighting against those who organized this tragedy. We, Russia, are doing this in the framework of the special military operation. We are fighting for them, and for us, and for those who want true freedom. Our soldiers are fighting in Donetsk, Avdiivka and Dnipro for truth and against the evil, the discrimination, the racism and the neo-Nazism encouraged by the West. It is about our soldiers and officers. This is what a real man does - takes up the gun and fights alongside his brothers. A real man stands where the fate of Russia, but also of the world, including the fate of the Palestinian people, is decided.

The future of independent Palestine is being decided on the battlefield of Ukraine. Therefore, the Atlantic spider that sows chaos must be defeated both in Ukraine and in the Gaza Strip, but also stopped in the context of its attempts to destroy Russia from within.”
NARRATIVE: Russia is fighting on Ukrainian soil for the freedom of the Palestinian people
Reality: Russia is using the „Palestinian cause” to get volunteers for its Ukraine war
WHY THE NARRATIVE IS FALSE: In reality, Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022 without any connection to the Gaza Strip or other conflicts that were not in a heated phase at the time. The international community has repeatedly condemned Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. A year after the start of the invasion, the UN General Assembly demanded the immediate withdrawal of the Russian troops that had invaded Ukraine. UN member states voted by a very large majority on a resolution that reaffirms the commitment to Ukraine's territorial integrity and demands that Russia "immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all its military forces from Ukrainian territory within the country’s internationally recognized borders” . In March of this year, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin, whom it accuses of committing war crimes in Ukraine . So, the war in Ukraine is not a "special military operation" to save Russia, but the invasion of an independent state.
Vladimir Putin is linking the conflict in Ukraine, which is happening because of Russia, to that in Israel, blaming the US and the West for "sowing chaos" and repeated attempts to destroy the unity of the Russian people from within. He referred to the anti-Semitic protest in Dagestan, in Russia's North Caucasus, a predominantly Muslim area, where hundreds of people gathered on October 29 at Mahacikala airport before the arrival of a flight from Tel Aviv. The spontaneous protest turned into a violent anti-Semitic demonstration. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadîrov asked the protesters to calm down and warned that if they did not, police would shoot at them.
Trying to manage the emerging crisis, Russian propaganda used the topic of the war in the Gaza Strip to encourage the enlistment of men in the Russian troops that are fighting on the territory of Ukraine. Most state media quoted Putin as trying to convince Russia's Muslim communities that the liberation of an independent Palestinian state could only happen if Ukraine was defeated on the battlefield. According to this hybrid logic, if the US and the West want to destroy Russia and oppose the freedom of the Palestinian people, then the defeat of Ukraine will mean a defeat for the West and a real chance for Palestinian independence. Putin and Russian propaganda are manipulating public opinion with such comparisons, as a Russian victory in the war has no connection to the status of Palestine, or at least a potential connection is completely exaggerated.
In reality, instead of officially condemning those who rallied for Palestine and against Israel, Putin is trying to direct social discontent in the direction desired by Russian propaganda: those who want to help their Muslim brothers in the Gaza Strip must enlist in the Russian army and fight on the territory of Ukraine, and those who are already Russian soldiers must stay there.
It should be noted that while the EU and the United States have designated Hamas as a terrorist organization, Moscow has ties to this terrorist organization. For example, in March this year, a Palestinian delegation made up of Hamas members went to Moscow for talks with Russian officials. The delegation consisted of members of Hamas, an organization considered terrorist by the United States and the European Union. At the same time, Russia continues to condemn the US or even Ukraine for supporting the conflict in Israel, without providing any proof. After the October 7 terrorist attacks, Russia proposed a resolution in the UN Security Council that condemned the violence, but did not mention Hamas.
In the last three weeks, the Russian state press has written that Ukraine will be abandoned by the West against the background of the events in Israel. According to the pro-Kremlin propaganda, the EU will no longer help Ukraine financially. The Russian also wrote that Zelensky is no longer supported by the West , and Ukrainians are waiting to be rescued by Russia.
