The editors of the Journal of Romanian Studies, edited by the Society for Romanian Studies and published by ibidem Press, are pleased to announce the launch of a virtual book talk series in which authors or editors of the books presented in the journal will be joined by the scholars who reviewed their work.
We have an impressive lineup of scholars who will discuss books written in Romanian, English, and French and we plan a total of six talks to mark the biannual publishing of our journal in April and October. The first three events are announced here and the remaining three are scheduled for later in the year.
We invite you to join us on January 28 for the first event in the series, a timely conversation between Peter Gross, coeditor of the JRS, and Marian Voicu, author of “Matrioşka mincinoşilor: Fake news, manipulare, populism.”
See the poster below for future conversations featuring Sabrina P. Ramet, Roland Clark, Francesco Magno, Dorina Roșca and Petru Negura.
Links to the events will be available on this page a week or so prior to each talk.
