The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that anti-Covid vaccines are not vaccines, claims a narrative picked up by Romanian conspiracy theorists.

NEWS: Covid vaccines are NOT vaccines. The US politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has won the lawsuit against all pharmaceutical lobbyists. In its ruling, the Supreme Court confirms that the damage caused by Covid mRNA gene therapies is irreparable. Since the Supreme Court is the highest court in the United States, there is no further appeal and all avenues of appeal have been exhausted.

In a press release, Robert F. Kennedy stressed that “this success was possible only because of the international cooperation of a large number of lawyers and scientists. Of course, this decision sets an international precedent. In Switzerland in particular, this decision should have an impact, as Switzerland has a special stand in its federal Constitution. On the one hand, the Nuremberg Code appears in Article 118b of the Constitution, and in Switzerland the improper use of genetic engineering on humans is prohibited under Article 119 of the Federal Constitution. This is supplemented by article 230bis of the Criminal Code, which means that perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison. But this historic decision should also give thought to the rest of the world, because the Nuremberg Code has international validity and is also included in Article 7 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights".
Too late
"German lawyer Rainer Füllmich and more than 100 other German lawyers are actively involved in these cases. There is no media coverage, neither in Switzerland nor in Europe. Unfortunately, it is almost mathematical that, given that this is a disruptive topic capable of altering the financial and economic plans of the powerful pharmaceutical lobbies, the public opinion will not be informed. We are in the middle of a promotional campaign to encourage people to get vaccinated and then re-vaccinated before next winter. It is very likely that if news of this historic decision ever gets out, it will be too late, to allow the corrupt medical system, aligned with the positions of pharmaceutical interests, to continue the vaccination campaign as long as possible. Therefore, we invite all honest people of good will to make public this historic decision of the US Supreme Court and spread it as widely as possible. For our own sake, but especially for the sake of our children and grandchildren...let's not allow interest groups to irreparably destroy our health and put our lives at risk," Kennedy added.
NARRATIVE: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. won a lawsuit against the entire pharmaceutical industry at the US Supreme Court.
The lawsuit did not exist
WHY THE NARRATIVE IS FALSE: The information about the lawsuit won by Kennedy Jr. against the entire pharmaceutical industry initially appeared at the end of 2021, and is resumed periodically for the public on different channels, in several countries and languages. This time, the narrative was picked up by a marginal local publication and amplified on social media. The fact that the information was carried without any prior verification is evident from the paragraph about the Swiss legislation, which shows that the original narrative was addressed to the public in Switzerland, and not the one in Romania.
In reality, the lawsuit referred to in the article never took place, and the narrative was denied by the US politician/lawyer himself in a statement given to the Associated Press: "The article about the Supreme Court is disinformation," Kennedy Jr. said. “The quote is fabricated. Clearly someone made it up and keeps promoting it, because the same quote keeps coming up no matter how many times I deny it." In addition, Kennedy Jr. has stated that although he has filed more than 30 lawsuits on the topic of vaccine safety, most of them are in various stages of the legal process and have not yet reached the Supreme Court. Actually, in June 2024, the Court rejected two appeals filed by CsHD , the anti-vaccine group founded by RFK Jr., in two trials related to anti-covid vaccines.
In fact, a simple search on the website of the US Supreme Court shows that there was no decision of this kind, neither in 2020, the year of the onset of the Covid pandemic, nor in 2021, the year when vaccination was introduced and the narrative first appeared. Moreover, although the US Supreme Court has ruled on several cases regarding the legality of certain pandemic practices, such as lockdowns or mandatory vaccination for certain categories of people, it has not addressed the topic of vaccine safety in any of these cases. The material also includes the claim that the court ruled that covid vaccines are not actually vaccines. In reality, the responsibilities in this area do not belong to the courts, but to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which has labeled them as ”vaccines” in all communications available on its website.
CONTEXT: False narratives regarding the effectiveness and effects of vaccination have been circulating in Romania for many years, but they became much more visible along with the licensing of anti-Covid vaccines. False narratives regarding the pandemic and vaccines have many sources. One of them is Russia, which aims to destabilize Western societies. At the same time, however, there are a lot of Western publications and "influencers", usually from the area of the radical right and conspiracists, who are also sources of disinformation. These are taken over and spread by other "influencers" or local publications, to an audience sensitive to such narratives and disinformation - corona skeptics, anti-vaxxers, people who do not trust the authorities, etc. Real anti-vaccine movements have emerged in numerous countries, heavily influenced by some of these narratives, which they take up, internalize, and amplify.
In Romania, several conservative publications have picked up these false narratives and tried, over time, to validate their anti-vaccine theories using pseudo-experts, anonymous websites or by falsely citing various studies. Veridica has already debunked many vaccine – related fake news and pieces of disinformation claiming that that they cause sterility across three generations and mental illnesses, shorten the life of men by 24 years, or cause physical disabilities, testicular cancer and myocarditis, and eventually death.
Moreover, conspiracy theories related to health are increasingly present in the Romanian media space, where there is more and more talk about the existence of a World Cabal whose aim is to reduce the population of the planet and/or control it completely. They are promoted by various publications or figures from the ultra-religious conservative zone, but they are also used by politicians, for electoral purposes, or people known to be close to Russia and its foreign policy. According to these conspiracy theorists, currently, the population is made ill both by the “forced feeding” that the world cabal has imposed, and by almost any medical intervention, in order to exercise control over the thoughts and movements of those affected. At the same time, conspiracy theorists claim that, from now on, humanity will constantly be faced with made-up pandemics that, on the one hand, will kill most people, and on the other, will suppress the individual rights and freedoms of those left alive.
Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. is one of the children of former US Attorney General Robert Kennedy, brother of the US President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, both assassinated. RFK Jr. became known as an environmental advocate, but also for his promotion of conspiracy theories and his opposition to vaccines. The NGO he founded and leads, Children's Health Defense (CsHD), is seen by the international media as one of the main sources of disinformation about vaccines and health policies worldwide, and for this reason, several social networks have removed the association's accounts from their platforms. Its budget is financed by individual donors, but mostly by means of "anonymous" donations from other foundations.
Reiner Fuellmich is a German lawyer and director of the "Corona Investigative Committee", an organization based in Germany that claims to be investigating what it considers to be violations of the law, medical malpractice and scientific fraud in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic. Although his role is not quite clear, it is assumed that it was quite important in the Volkswagen scandal , as well as in the lawsuits involving Deutsche Bank, the institution that he used to work for. Together with attorneys in various states, Fuellmich is offering companies the opportunity to join a class action lawsuit in the United States where they can seek damages "caused by the misuse of PCR tests."
In September 2022, Fuellmich was accused of misappropriating funds from the substantial donations raised for finding the "truth about Covid" and the aforementioned lawsuit. The German lawyer has denied the allegations, claiming they are politically motivated, meant to sabotage the organization he leads and its investigation into the "deep state’s involvement in the global response to covid19”. An international arrest warrant was issued in his name because Fuellmich was living in Tijuana, Mexico in an attempt to evade the investigation carried out by the German authorities. He was eventually extradited to Germany and subsequently arrested by the authorities in Frankfurt.
PURPOSE: To undermine the population's trust in the authorities, to promote the anti-vaxxer discourse, to validate one's own conspiracy theories, to provoke and amplify social tensions.
