The Russian state media, quoted by some publications in Romania, has disseminated a propaganda narrative, launched by the Foreign Intelligence Service in Russia, according to which Poland will work more actively with Hungary and Romania in order to take over Western Ukraine. In fact, Poland is one of the staunch supporters of Ukraine’s efforts to fend off the Russian invasion.
NEWS: “Poland is ready for a more active cooperation with Hungary and Romania regarding the Ukrainian question, in order to further its plans to take over Western Ukraine”, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has announced, according to RIA Novosti.
Poland is trying to camouflage its expansion towards Western Ukraine by means of a veiled propaganda, the press office of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service quoted the SVR chief, Sergey Naryshkin as saying.
[…]
According to the SVR, it looks like Warsaw hasn’t noticed how her «secret» ambitions and frustrations have for many years become a source of mockery and irritation for her«benefactors».
“The SVR’s declassified database also includes, for that matter, a rather conclusive definition of Poland’s foreign policy, made in 1935 by the head of the British Foreign Ministry, Simon: «The Polish Government is fostering a childish policy of prestige, hindering peacebuilding in Europe and suited neither for its political, military and financial position». Today, Simon’s successors have expressed the same viewpoint, albeit in simpler, coarser language”, the SVR press release reads.
RIA recalls that, last week, Naryshkin described Poland’s plans to take control over Western Ukraine as a threat to the entire Europe. According to the SVR chief, if Poland opens this Pandora Box, no one will be safe.
