Vaccination against Covid19 is the cause of testicular cancer in four football players from the German first league, according to Activenews.ro, an online publication that has promoted numerous false narratives about the coronavirus. Although, statistically speaking, in this case the incidence of the disease is four times higher than normal, when the article was published, the experts had not established a common cause of the disease in the four young athletes. Moreover, it is not even known whether they have been vaccinated against Covid19.
NEWS: “German sports in shock: four German players have testicular cancer. Terrifying, four footballers all diagnosed with the same type of cancer.
ActiveNews has warned since June 2021 that the spike protein in the Pfizer "vaccine" can affect the ovaries and testicles, according to a confidential Japanese study.
The spike protein in the Covid-19 vaccine enters the bloodstream, which may explain thousands of adverse effects, from blood clots and heart disease to brain damage and reproductive issues”.
NARRATIVE: Vaccination against the coronavirus causes testicular cancer and leads to infertility.
CONTEXT/LOCAL ETHOS: Since the beginning of the Covid19 pandemic, several false narratives have appeared in Romania regarding the nature and origin of the SARS-CoV2 virus, the measures taken to combat its spread, or the effectiveness and effects of vaccination. The promoters of these false narratives include conspiracy theorists, radical Orthodox, sovereigntists, Euro-skeptics, anti-Westerners, dacoits and Kremlin mouthpieces. Activenews.ro has brought no medical evidence to support the statement it made. They also seek to validate their theories through pseudo-experts, anonymous websites, or falsely citing various studies.
Veridica has already debunked several fake news and pieces of disinformation regarding the antiCovid19 vaccine, according to which it would induce sterility across three generations or that they have adverse effects and are ineffective .
PURPOSE: To promote the anti-vaccine culture and induce fear among those who get vaccinated against Covid19 or who intend to get the shot. WHY THE NARRATIVE IS FALSE: Without having any evidence in this regard, the author of the article uses a title meant to induce the idea that four footballers got sick because they were vaccinated against Covid19. In reality, until the publication date of the article, it was not known whether the four athletes had been vaccinated against Covid19, or the exact cause of the occurrence of testicular cancer in the four particular cases.
Despite all scientific advances, the exact cause of testicular cancer (a disease characterized by the development of abnormal cells in the testicular tissue, with increased reproductive potential, which the body is not able to limit through physiological processes) is still unknown. Scientists have identified over time several factors likely to cause this disease: cryptorchidism (undescended testicle in the scrotum), inguinal hernia, family history, Klinefelter syndrome and “Superman” syndrome (genetic diseases) or irradiation of that area. But although these conditions can increase the risk of the disease, they are not a prerequisite, nor are they the basis for the development of most testicular cancers.
What we know for sure, however, is that testicular cancer in athletes is not new, on the contrary, it is a phenomenon long studied by doctors. There are already several theories on the subject, such as that of urologist Frank Sommer, a professor at the University of Hamburg, who says that boys who perform intensive sporting activities before puberty have a higher risk of developing testicular cancer, unrelated with genetic factors. One of the causes taken into consideration by the renowned German doctor is the extreme sensitivity of the of that part of the body to sudden and radical changes in body temperature caused by physical exertion. However, studies related to this theory are still in the early stages and it will take years before a scientifically valid conclusion is reached.
The “confidential” Japanese study to which the material in question refers is actually a fragment of the pharmacokinetic study of research related to the antiCovid19 vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech. The study followed the path in the body of vaccinated people of the fat particles containing the messenger RNA genetic sequence of the spike protein. It was by no means a secret and the study was validated by the European Agency for Medicines as early as February 2021.
Apart from the study led by Pfizer, which could reasonably be suspected of subjectivity and manipulation of the results, several doctors and scientists have researched the same thing , and their conclusions coincided with those of the vaccine manufacturer: the spike protein is harmless, it only stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies.
GRAIN OF TRUTH: Four football players from the German first league have got testicular cancer since the spring of 2022.
