A graduate of the Faculty of History of the “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu, and a doctoral student at the “Nicolae Iorga” Institute of History within the Romanian Academy. He is also an expert (researcher) within the Institute for the Investigation of the Crimes of Communism and the Memory of the Romanian Exile. His fields of interest include visual propaganda in (post)totalitarianism, military history, combat techniques and contemporary military art. He has given presentations and lectures on defense topics in a number of academic venues, including the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin (HWR Berlin – Berlin School of Economics and Law) and at Universität der Bundeswehr München (University of the German Federal Armed Forces).
