The Russian state press has taken out of context a statement by the former US Ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, and have disseminated a propaganda narrative, according to which American scholars support Putin's ideas about Ukraine. In reality, McFaul presented several opinion trends from the US and around the world on the history of Ukraine, and not on the current Russian-Ukrainian war.
After the elections were won by PAS/Maia Sandu, the republican stadium in Chisinau is now ceded to the Americans, by a decision of the Constitutional Court, whose judges are Romanian citizens, and Romania gives away everything the US asks for, the Kremlin's main propaganda channel, Radio Sputnik, claims in a comment. The narratives aim to create the false image that the new government in Chisinau is controlled by the United States, and the diplomatic mission in Chisinau will spy on Russia from the new headquarters.
Romanian gendarmes have instructed Moldovan carabinieri how to quell protests by the opposition if the latter tries to prevent the taking over of a piece of land for the future US embassy. This fake news hints at the Romanian gendarme narrative and resumes themes circulated in the campaign regarding the imminence of large-scale demonstrations.
