The south of Ukraine, which borders Romania along the Danube in the Odesa region, as the whole country, is going through a war. After the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the decolonization process has intensified here.
In Odesa, the streets are renamed and the monuments installed by the Russians and Soviets are dismantled. In Kherson, after eight months of Russian occupation, residents are trying to bring the city back to life, but they are bombed by the Russian army, which has moved to the other side of the Dnieper and continues to terrorize the city from afar.
A documentary film about life during the war, with blackouts, air raids, bombings, drone attacks, but also about rethinking history and breaking away from the symbols of the velikorus imperial culture and Soviet propaganda.
