Carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere has no impact on climate change, a well-known conspiracy website claims.
NEWS: A group of leading Polish researchers has confirmed that carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere has no impact on “global warming”. Coordinated by PhD Stan Kubicki from the Military University of Technology in Poland, the study debunks the “narratives” of globalists regarding “climate change”, Slay News writes. Published in Science Direct, the scientific research article confirms that the warming effect of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is inherently limited. In fact, this limit was already reached decades ago. The study shows that carbon-dioxide emissions have zero impact on global temperatures.
These findings confirm what “climate experts” should have been telling people long ago: What if we dug out all the planet's coal from the ground and extracted all the planet's oil and burned them all at once in one huge pile. The resulting CO2 emissions would still NOT warm the Earth. The conclusions of this study directly refute the “climate crisis” narrative promoted by the UN-funded “scientific” community.
NARRATIVE: Climate change is a natural phenomenon and is not caused by carbon dioxide emissions caused by human activities.
The cited study does not state that carbon dioxide does not lead to an increase in temperatures
WHY THE NARRATIVE IS FALSE: The claim that the study proves the non-existent impact of carbon dioxide on global warming is profoundly false, while at the same time contradicting all the studies carried out in this regard in the last 30 years. Moreover, nowhere does the research study in question state this fact. The cited study, however, calls into question the influence of additional CO2 emissions, which would allegedly no longer produce additional effects, after reaching a “saturation of CO2 in the atmosphere”. Nevertheless, the conclusion of the Polish researchers is by no means definitive. On the contrary, the authors state that, “to answer the question of whether the additionally emitted CO2 in the atmosphere is indeed a greenhouse gas, it would be necessary, among other things, to conduct additional research”.
The cited work was published at the end of March 2024, in Applications in Engineering Science, with Jan (not Stan, as Activenews erroneously writes) Kubicki from the Institute of Optolelectronics, Military University of Technology in Warsaw as the main coordinator, along with several co-authors with similar specializations. Without any expertise in climate studies, being rather specialized in electrical engineering, Kubicki also published a study in October 2019, which sought to establish a method for measuring the amount of alcohol vapors exhaled by a drunk driver inside the car.
In their experiment, the Polish authors compared the saturation mass of CO2 with the current amount of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere, simplifying to an extremely small scale the experiments and measurements used. And while it is true that there is a limit to how much additional warming rising CO2 concentrations alone can cause, this does not mean that CO2 emissions have no effect on global temperatures. There is a wide variety of factors that influence and lead to global warming. In fact, climatologists around the world have been studying this phenomenon for years, and research has shown that carbon dioxide is nowhere near saturated.
Moreover, according to the World Meteorological Organization, the level of greenhouse gases has risen to a new record in 2023, resulting in rising temperatures for many years to come. Carbon dioxide builds up in the atmosphere much faster than at any time in human existence, increasing by more than 10% in just two decades. The increase in atmospheric CO2 levels in 2023 exceeded the reports for 2022, although it was indeed less than in the previous three years. The annual increase of 2.3 ppm (parts per million) marked the 12th consecutive year that saw an increase of more than 2 ppm. The increase in 2023 was one of the largest, standing at 2.8 ppm. Greenhouse gas concentrations continue to soar owing to human activities, and the impact of this increase on global temperatures is well documented in scientific research.
Therefore, although it is advisable for scientists to constantly question existing models and continue to research various aspects of climate change, conclusions based on simplified experiments can be extremely dangerous. Moreover, in their conclusion, the Polish researchers emphasize that their intention is not to minimize the dangers of climate change or to encourage humanity to degrade the environment through the use of fossil fuels, but they advise moderation, because the exploitation of coal and oil directly contributes to environmental pollution, by changing soil drainage flows, altering the landscape, or even causing disruptions in plate tectonics. Furthermore, the authors also argue, it should be noted that heating systems and outdated internal combustion engines, which people more often than not use, emit many other toxic substances, unrelated to CO2. Thus, efforts to exploit renewable energy sources must be intensified.
Climate change is a real issue, not an occult invention
BACKGROUND: The level of carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere has become a concern of specialists starting the 1950s. Since 1958, the level of CO2 started undergoing regular measurements. Experts thus noted an average annual increase in its concentration in the atmosphere and, according to data published in the Greenhouse Gas Bulletin, in 2021, greenhouse gas had gone up to 149% of the level of the pre-industrial era. As a result, there is concern that, in the near future, land and ocean ecosystems will no longer have the capacity to effectively absorb excess CO2, and act as a buffer against rising temperatures. As a result, the fight against global warming has become extremely important and a top priority to an increasing number of people who are looking to significantly reduce their carbon footprint. A series of studies analyzing human activities generating greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, etc.) have shown that the main sources for this increase are emissions from the burning of fossil fuels and the production of cement.
Therefore, several international organizations issue plans and work together to bring the world economy to a neutral stage from the point of view of polluting gas emissions, to further protect the environment and human health.
Conspiracists see such plans as aimed at triggering an unprecedented persecution of the population, which will either be exterminated or enslaved by occult forces. In Romania, one of the main supports of conspiracy propaganda is the Activenews website, which promotes absurd theories fostering this type of rhetoric, but also other false narratives regarding the “Great Healthcare Reset”, the war in Ukraine or the conflict in the Middle East.
PURPOSE: To undermine the population's trust in the authorities, to promote the anti-Western rhetoric, to validate previously exposed conspiracy theories, to stir and amplify social unrest.
